"gone baby gone", ben affleck's movie, starring his brother casey affleck (with ed harris and morgan freeman)
this movie was purposed to raise tough moral questions. is the right thing to do right if you go about it the wrong way? should we still follow the law if we believe it will lead to a horrible outcome later on? also brought into sharp focus the pain of how many children go missing every year-something i personally was not knowledgeable about, and an issue i think not many people get exposure to, unless it directly affects them. i thought the acting was superb (i am an admitted casey affleck fan, far more so than ben affleck), the narraration and screenplay very competent to handle the grave issues of the movie. at certain points, the explicitness and bluntness of the script annoyed me- i wondered if in real life the conversation might have been more subtle. but that is a very minor issue compared to the great work of art this movie is. you should make a point of watching it! disclaimer: lots of language. but it's worth it.
