the first movie i've watched with my new netflix account was "surfwise". its a documentary about a domineering, determined father who packed up his family of nine kids in a trailer and lived like, on pennies, with a strict diet and a passion for surfing.his ideas and methods were quite polarizing- some things i admired and others appalled me. what was most interesting was watching how the different children fared once they broke off into "real life", and how that family fragmented under the weight of various circumstances. i'd recommend this film, for sure.
